Michelle Cioccoloni – Bigger Pictures

As Michelle Cioccoloni sat sketching the crowds at David Hockney’s recent exhibition at the Royal Academy she found her biro and paper drawings getting bigger – but not taking up more space; they were taking in more time.

In her talk Michelle considers how drawings like these – layers built up, capturing and exploring movement – can be considered a form of reportage, a way of seeing the world more usually associated with photography.
